I was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1961 and graduated from the University of Budapest in 1984. After earning a master’s degree, I spent much of my early years traveling around Europe and America before finally settling in England, where my cityscapes secured a unique position in the UK art market.
Although my cityscapes depict specific and recognizable locations, my focus is on capturing the atmosphere of each scene. By merging colours and blurring the reflected light on rain-slicked streets, I can portray the fast-moving essence of my chosen subjects in a distinctive way.
I have a profound love for painting, and after more than 80 successful solo exhibitions throughout the UK, I am proud that my works are highly regarded and instantly recognizable. My international exhibitions have spanned my career, and in 2004, I was honoured to receive the ‘Genius Talent Prize’ in Budapest at an exhibition celebrating Hungary’s entry into the European Union.
Inspired by the thriving art scene on the Kent coast, I decided to make Folkestone my home, where I continue to support local artists through masterclasses.
